Our coffees are mainly Arabica’s (SL14 & SL28) and consist of fully washed and naturals from micro lots.
They are produced by farmers drawn from across the length and breadth of the Rwenzori mountain ranges.
With one of the most distinct geographic aspects affecting a coffee’s quality and taste being elevation, these Rwenzori coffees tend to have predominantly fruity, floral notes.
They are grown at higher elevations from 1,500 metres above sea level (MASL) which produce hard, dense beans that are more sought after than beans grown at lower elevations.
Hard beans are of a higher quality than soft beans because they have a higher concentration of sugars which produce more desired and nuanced flavours.
We source and trade these coffees with the aim of ensuring great value for small holder farmers who are the key stakeholders.
